A note from the director:

I find the most joy working with students in a choir. My goal for each student is to leave our time together with an intense love for music and singing with others their age. I believe when we bring our best, whether in a church, a factory, or a stage, we are participating in worship. The songs we sing occupy a unique place in our minds and hearts, thus I try to be very intentional in my song selection . My goal is to design semesters and shows that focus on a creative theme, teach classic, musical principles, and correct vocal technique in a modern and creative way. I am excited to sing and make beautiful music together!

Jennie Stills - Director

Jennie Stills graduated from Furman University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in classical voice and music education. After graduating she spent the next 6 years conducting both high school and middle school choirs across South Carolina and North Carolina. She and her husband, Nick, moved to Charlotte in 2008 where she joined Elevation Worship and began singing as a part of their worship team. Through that relationship, Jennie helped start the Elevation Worship Academy, which focused on training young musicians to be top class musicians and worshipers. She wrote and designed the music theory curriculum, taught voice lessons, and conducted the youth choir through the Worship Academy.

Jennie, Nick, their three kids, Everly (12), Smith (10), and Lennon (7), and their dog, Tilly, now live in Franklin, TN where they enjoy spending as much time outside as possible.
